Überherrn and Heusweiler

The end of strict corona rules in China also marks a milestone for Saarland: SVOLT

Kai-Uwe Wollenhaupt, who as President SVOLT Europe & Vice President SVOLT Energy

Press release

Hongxin Yang signed in Heusweiler on a battery pack that was displayed there on theoccasion of the Signing Ceremony in December. The pack now adorns the
signatures of the European SVOLT team, representatives of politics and partners,
and representatives of the Chinese headquarters.

On Friday, Yang made his inaugural visit to Minister President Anke Rehlinger and Economics
Minister Jürgen Barke. It was the first personal meeting since the location
decision for the Saarland. “SVOLT stands by its decision to locate in
Saarland. The planned factory is a great opportunity for our state in the
structural change,” said Anke Rehlinger.

Yang visited the Überherrn site together with Economics Minister Jürgen Barke and State
Secretary Yorgova-Ramanauskas. Mayor Anne Yliniva-Hoffmann, parliamentary group
chairmen and local councilors were also present. The plans for the site are
being adhered to.

The site in Heusweiler is already “online”. There, Hongxin Yang met with Mayor Thomas
Redelberger, who was accompanied by his 1st deputy, the local chairman and the
head of the main and personnel office. The current status of the construction
was for the SVOLT President confirmation for the decision to this location.

Hongxin Yang also used his two-week visit to Europe to deepen and strengthen existing
customer relationships and potential cooperation with other European customers.

One week earlier, SVOLT welcomed a high-ranking guest from China: Tom Liu, Vice
Chairman of SVOLT Energy Technology. During his stay, Tom Liu visited SVOLT
customers and partners as well as the planned battery cell plant in Lauchhammer
and the sites in Saarland – and also immortalized himself with his signature on
the battery pack in Heusweiler. He says: “It fills us with great joy that
we have now been able to meet our European customers in person to exchange
ideas with them about our innovative partnerships. We are proud to be part of
this vibrant and diverse community and look forward to continuing to build and
maintain close relationships with our customers in Europe.”
